Die 10-fach \"Deore\" Kettenschaltung von SHIMANO ist mit ihrer Übersetzung und der Gangabstufung genau für solche Szenarien konzipiert – und auch dafür, wenn es auf der anderen Seite schnell bergab geht. Durch die Linkglide-Technologie lässt sie sich deutlich knackiger bedienen. Verschleiß macht sich langsamer bemerkbar. Verlässliche Bremsen sind in bergigem Gelände und in der Stadt das A und O. Die hydraulischen Scheibenbremsen von SHIMANO lassen sich fein dosieren, reagieren aber mit viel Biss, wenn es drauf ankommt.
