| evidence | FOCUS publishes a nominal frame size per letter that is explicitly NOT the seat tube. The current geometry table carries a row 'Größe in mm' = XXS 470, XS 500, S 520, M 540, L 560, XL 580, XXL 610 and a SEPARATE row 'A Sitzrohrlänge' = 455, 475, 495, 515, 535, 555, 585. The 2016 frameset catalogue states the equivalence outright in a column headed 'SIZE/CM': 'XXS/48 XS/50 S/52 M/54 L/56 XL/58 XXL/61', one article number per size. The 2023-2025 archive FAQ repeats the ladder as 'Größe XXS (470 mm) … Größe XL (580 mm) … Größe XXL (610 mm)'. So the ladder has been stable from 2016 to 2027 with only XXS moving (48 -> 47), which is why no model-year restriction is applied. |
