- Rahmensteifigkeit: A: Ein solider, einteiliger Umlenkhebel bringt Steifigkeit und schützt den Dämpfer vor seitlichen Belastungen. Eines von vielen Details, die das Santa Cruz Vala von anderen Viergelenkern unterscheidet. B: Die Brücke zwischen den Sitzstreben sorgt für zusätzliche Steifigkeit, damit die Federung reibungslos läuft und sich nicht verwindet.
- Drehpunkte: Die Hauptdrehpunkte laufen auf den legendären, konisch geklemmten Achsen, die Santa Cruz eingeführt hat und die heute von vielen Fahrradmarken kopiert werden. Die Achsen können sich nicht selbstständig lösen, sind für die Wartung aber leicht zu demontieren.
- Sämtliche Schrauben sind für 5 mm Innensechskantschlüssel ausgelegt, so dass der schnelle Schrauben-Check jederzeit möglich ist. Es sind keinerlei Spezialwerkzeuge erforderlich und es ist so einfach, an dem Bike zu arbeiten, dass es sogar die Marketing-Leute schaffen (wenn wir die scharfen Werkzeuge vor ihnen verstecken).
