About BikeFind

An independent comparison of what German online shops are selling.

What BikeFind does

BikeFind reads the bicycles German online shops are offering continuously, lines up price, frame size and equipment so that they can be compared, and answers one question with it: which bike gets you the most for your money, in your size, today.

It only says things you can check. A bicycle page carries no grade and no verdict: it carries a sentence you can count for yourself, such as that every bike with equal or better equipment costs more.

Every price, size and component was read from the shop's own product page. Discounts and RRPs are context only and never affect the ranking.

How the ranking works

Who is behind it

BikeFind is independent: the site is owned by no shop, no manufacturer and no publisher, and no shop can buy a position. We read the shops’ publicly available product pages and compute with them. Nobody pays to appear.

What BikeFind is not

Not a shop. We sell nothing, hold no stock, take no payments and ship nothing. The contract is always between you and the shop.

Not an account. There is no sign-up, no login, no wishlist and no newsletter, and therefore nothing stored about you here.

Not a magazine that tests bikes. We do not ride them. We read what the shops publish and compute with it, and where every single figure came from is on the bicycle’s own page.

How BikeFind makes money

At present it does not. There is no advertising, no paid placement, no affiliate or partner link and no commission. A link to a shop is an ordinary link.

That is meant to change: a share of sales through the shops’ own partner programmes is planned. If it happens, it will be stated here before the first partner link goes live, and it will not touch the ranking, which is computed from price and equipment and knows nothing about a commission.
