Das Astr ist bereit für jede schnelle Fahrt oder jedes Schotterrennen auf jeder Art von Gelände. Genau wie das Astr RS hat das Astr eine Reifenfreiheit von 47 - 52 mm (52 Millimeter bei einem 1x Setup und 47 Millimeter bei einem 2x Setup) für mehr Grip und Komfort. Eine moderne Performance-Geometrie verlangt nach mehr Stabilität in immer unwegsamerem Gelände und bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten. Ein Lenkkopfwinkel von 71,5 Grad sorgt für ein schnelleres Lenkverhalten. Das Astr verfügt über ein steileres Sitzrohr (74 Grad), das die Kletterleistung und die Kraftübertragung im Vergleich zu einem weniger steilen Sitzrohr verbessert. Die Produktentwickler haben die Kettenstrebe so kurz wie möglich gehalten, um Reifen bis 52 Millimeter aufnehmen zu können, ohne dass das Gefühl der Reaktionsfähigkeit beim Beschleunigen verloren geht.
