- Eine moderne Performance-Geometrie verlangt nach mehr Stabilität in immer unwegsamerem Gelände und bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten. Ein Lenkkopfwinkel von 71,5 Grad sorgt für ein schnelleres Lenkverhalten. Das Astr verfügt über ein steileres Sitzrohr (74 Grad), das die Kletterleistung und die Kraftübertragung im Vergleich zu einem weniger steilen Sitzrohr verbessert.
- Die Produktentwickler haben die Kettenstrebe so kurz wie möglich gehalten, um Reifen bis 52 Millimeter aufnehmen zu können, ohne dass das Gefühl der Reaktionsfähigkeit beim Beschleunigen verloren geht. Außerdem ist das Tretlager tiefer positioniert als bei Fahrrädern, die auf Komfort ausgerichtet sind, was für mehr Stabilität bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten sorgt. Schließlich ist das Steuerrohr niedriger, was eine aerodynamischere Fahrposition ermöglicht.
