- Am äußersten Rande des Radsports gibt es Athleten, die ihren Körper und ihre Ausrüstung bis an die Grenzen des Machbaren bringen. Ultra-Langstrecke, aber ultraschnell. Wir nennen diese Fahrten Big, Stupid Rides , und seit der Vorstellung des Caledonia im Jahr 2020 haben Athleten auf der ganzen Welt ausgelotet, wie großartig stupide diese Fahrten sein können. Das Caledonia-5 ist für Langstreckenrennen und für hohe Geschwindigkeiten ausgelegt - Sitzposition und Handling sind dabei auf Komfort ausgerichtetet, ohne dass das Cervélo-Rennradgefühl auf der Strecke bleibt.
- Beim neuen Caledonia-5 haben wir uns auf Verbesserungen konzentriert, die einen Unterschied machen, wenn man an seine Grenzen geht. Die größte Neuerung ist das integrierte Staufach im Rahmen, das erstmals beim neuen P-Series eingesetzt wurde. Es ist kein Kofferraum für großes Gepäck, sondern bietet Platz für Multitool, Schlauch und CO2-Kartusche. Außerdem haben wir den Komfort verbessert. Die Sitzstreben sind, ähnlich wie beim Aspero, abgesenkt, wodurch der Hinterbau flacher und vertikal flexibler wird. Gleichzeitig ist das Unterrohr etwas steifer, um das für das Caledonia bekannte, agile Fahrverhalten zu bewahren. Du kannst weiterhin große Reifen (36 mm) einbauen, und jedes Rad wird mit Schutzblechhalterungen geliefert.
